Do you have any (new) headcanons about Michael since the last chapter?

I don’t exactly have many news headcanons about that angel mess but here’s the one I have in mind since a while now:

- okay so it’s maybe because I’m crazy about angels and the Archangels but I simply refuse to see Michael as someone who has always been cruel. He’s a jerk but he believes he’s doing the right thing. In his eyes, he’s righteous, he has to fight demons because demons = evil for him
- he’s a workalcoholic and that’s actually a canon thing (the man simply REFUSE to sleep because he will know no rest until he fought Lucifer)
- he’s very protective about his territories (like Paris he so wanted to protect from demons’ attacks, but his colleagues were mostly “meh, whatever”), you don’t touch to his territories or you will have hell to pay!
- he once was very close to Lucifer, back when Lucifer was still an angel and that’s one of the reasons why he took his fall and his betrayal hard. And, judging from his obsession with Lucifer, he must have been close to him. Maybe that’s why he wants to fight Lucifer so much (like… “you betrayed us and you hurt me when I trusted you, so you’ll pay”?)
- his sense of duty is stronger than anything else as he’s first and foremost God’s soldier. Of course that didn’t stop him from being really hurt when Lucifer was cast down because I’m still standing on the idea Michael loved Lucifer. No wonder the angel is hysterical now.
- before Lucifer’s fall, I believe he was also close to his other angels brothers, like Uriel, Gabriel and Raphael. That must be why Uriel seemed reluctant to betray Michael before, maybe because he remembered how Michael was before the Fall, maybe because he remembered Michael wasn’t always this cold and cruel angel he is with Uriel now? Despite all Michael did to him, Uriel seems to care still for him and that’s something as Michael actually RIPS one of Uriel’s wings.
- He has the reputation to be the most stubborn angel in Heaven
- Besides fighting Lucifer and bringing ecstasy to the Elector, his other obsession is to think of all the tortures he could inflict to Metatron if that insufferable boy keeps calling him “old man”
- As people keep betraying him, Michael is now very paranoid on this subject. I mean: first Lucifer, then Gilgamesh… no wonder he’s seeing betrayal everywhere! No wonder he took Uriel’s reluctance to bring Ecstasy on William hard. He simply can’t accept that Uriel, his brother who is under his orders, would choose a human. Worse than a human: Solomon’s reincarnation.
- while I wrote that Michael must have been different back when Lucifer was still in Heaven, I wouldn’t say he was all vanilla. At least he wasn’t his cruel, hysterical and paranoid self.
- Maybe deep down, he still cares for his brothers. That’s why he can’t believe Uriel would chose William over him and is risking dying just to fight Lucifer.
- According to Uriel, as Michael has to tell Raphael when he has to go on Earth, I would say he’s rather close to Raphael or at least they’re often working together? Since Raphael seemed to be a rather enthusiast angel, it’s a wonder he’s associated to Grumpy Michael xD
- as he can’t feel he’s supported enough and that he can’t trust anyone, Michael resumes to be his paranoid, jerk self
- he can feel things in a very passionate way. He can feel things deeply, it can be anger or even love (*whisper* his obsession for Lucifer)
- Like most angels, he has a good sense of fashion!
- sometimes, I wonder if he ever look at Metatron and think “I’ve made a grave mistake, that guy will bring me troubles one day I SWEAR!”
