In 1920, the percentage of elderly people stood at 5% in Sweden , while it was about 7% in American and around 9% in the Korean. the proportion of senior citizens in U.S.A. dropped to 3% in 1920 to 1940 and Sweden a dropped to 2% and remained steady to 1960. However
From an overall observation, western countries namely U.S.A.and the Korean, were home to a greater proportion of elder people at the age of 60 and over from 1940 to 2020.
In conclusion, over the projected period of a decade between 2000 and 2020, Korean is expected to have the greatest percentage of senior citizens among these three countries.
