2.4. Fabrication of BiOBr/graphene oxide composites In a typical synthesis process the GO was added in 25 ml of deionized water. BiOBr powder were dispersed in 25 ml deionized water and subsequently mixed with the GO solution and sonicated for 2.5 h. (Fast clean ultrasonic cleaner (Bath Type) – India, with power of 100 W and Amplitude 30%, ultrasonic frequency was 36 kHz) Further the mixture stirred for 24 h at room temperature to obtain a homogeneous solution. The product was centrifuged and
filtered using ethanol and dried in a vacuum at 65 8C for 8 h. The weight content of GO in composites were 1%, 2% and 5% and represented as BGO 1, BGO2 and BGO5 respectively. The schematic representation for the formation of GO/BiOBr composite is shown in Fig. 1.
