Data from an orthogonally designed study are in Table 3. The results suggested large differences in the IZD between experimental trials.
Table 3 shows the influence of factors on the IZD declined in the order: B > A > C. These results demonstrated that the optimal conditions for IZD were B3A1C3, which were 12 g/L yeast extract, 10 g/L soluble starch and 7 g/L CaCl2.
