So, what does this mean?
First, you have won a new Andriod device (in areas where Andriod devices are not available, you will receive a prize of equivalent value) and the student team prize of $1000 and the female team prize of $2000! You now have more than 3 weeks to improve your application before submitting your final version on January 5th 2014. You will submit the application via a specialized form which will be sent directly to you on or before December 20th. Applications will then be reviewed by a panel of judges to determine the top application in each category. The top applications will be announced on January 28th 2014. The winners will then take home $20,000!
As you work towards polishing your application for the finals, please bear in mind the competition criteria. In particular the judges will be looking for easy-to-use apps that meaningfully create/utilize content on Google App Engine to unleash the potentials of the Google cloud platform with an outstanding and professional look-and-feel. Your app should at the very least be market ready by the time you submit it. Anything short of this will not be considered good enough. Feel free to include evidence of live usage in your app description when submitting.
