In 1997 after completing his first degree, an Associates of Arts in Liberal Arts from the University of Hawaii he moved to China to teach Kindergarten level ESL. He fell in love with the rich culture and the people and ended up living in Guangzhou for four and a half years. He then returned to Hawaii to continue his education and get his teaching credentials. In May of 2005 he graduated with a Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii and has also received a K-6 teaching certification from the Hawaii Teachers Standards Board. He currently lives in Guangzhou China with his wife and son where he works as a Kindergarten teacher at the American International School of Guangzhou. He is currently a graduate student at Boise State University seeking a Master of Educational Technology.
