The winding connections are brazed and then insulated to meet the rated voltage.
In-process electrical withstand tests are used throughout stator winding to ensure
that no coils have been damaged during manufacturing or handling.
The stator core with its connected “white stage” (or “green”) winding is then dipped into a treatment tank and impregnated (VPI) with resin, followed
by at least one bake cycle to produce a consolidated, rigid, cured system.
The finished stator winding is then subjected to a series of acceptance tests as specified by the manufacturer and additional tests as required by the purchaser.
