RESULTS
Table 1 reports the demographic profiles of the respondents. The average
age of the respondents was 46. About 55% of the respondents were male. The
majority of them (72.6%) were American, followed by Canadian (2.3%), Korean
(1.9%), Australian (1.4%), British (1.4%), Chinese (1.4%), and Swiss
(1.4%). Most respondents (84.5%) had a graduate or post-graduate degree.
Nearly 80% worked in education, followed by industry (15.9%). For those
who worked in educational institutions, more than half (60%) did not hold any
administrative position. Almost half of the respondents were assistant or associate
professors.
