Social networking sites have become an integral part of people's lives nowadays and it played an important role in tracing and rescuing people post the recent Nepal earthquake, which killed more than 4,000 people.
Many took to Twitter and Facebook to trace and rescue the victims of the natural disaster.
A new Twitter handle, @MEAcontrolroom, was opened to receive assistance regarding Indians stranded in Nepal.
Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, who has been quite active on Twitter, helped in tracing many missing people in Nepal. (For details, check the above slide show)
