Melissa is very detail-oriented and often gives so many details that it makes her writing or story confusing. Within this particular instance, Melissa combined multiple examples of cause and effect. She stated that “she tripped over a chair and it fell,” “it fell on someone’s head and fell on them,” and “It fell all over them so that it went in their eyes and also went in their ears.” She was able to explain and combine various examples of cause and effect within her example. However, she was unable to identify what the cause was. She identified both the cause and effect as someone getting sick, but in her example she mentions nothing of someone getting sick.
