Microscopic observation was made on size and type of the
mesocarp cell of treated and untreated fruit. Parenchyma cell
size, which was measured only in 2003 for ‘Songold’ showed
increasing size by all auxin treatments compared to the control
fruits (Fig. 6). There were some differences between the auxins:
2,4-DP (25 mg l 1) produced the largest cells, while 3,5,6-TPA
(15 mg l 1) fruit had the smallest cell size.
