Turning to the discrepancies between intentions and actions, an ambitious future research design could include intentions, respective strategic choices, and implemented strategies in the same longitudinal study, and examine their effect on the different aspects of theen suing performance. Perhaps using a mix of primary survey data and secondary realized strategy at a later time point would en ablesuch a design to be realized. Crucially, this would allow examination of the key question of how discrepancies between intentions an dactions affect performance.
