if I was Jeff’s sales manager I would recommend he makes sure or try’s his best to be on time meetings. I’d tell him he needs to improve his sales dialogue and time management. When dealing with a customer you should get all the information that’s need to them and get all the information the business needs from them as well. Also that he should take time to actually gain knowledge of each product of a potential customer because it shows that we have the best interest in our customers. Instead of saying things that may offend the customer or make them feel manipulated level with them. I’d make sure he has taken down notes of the business or have a set of specific questions and inputs that benefit both the potential customer and himself at succeeding. Make sure he understands that he represents the business. Trust-Based Relationship Selling and Transaction-Focused Traditional Selling should be a part of the communication used between the buyer and seller at all times. Also he should learn where to draw the line in sharing information with customers. Approach each situation as if your sales manager is present while you are having a business meetings. Think positive
