Indonesia is willing to support Thailand's attempts to bring about unity and peace in the far South, Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa says.
"Our position is clear. We are ready to share lessons learned from our own experience, but only in an appropriate way and only when asked by Thailand," Mr Marty said at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand (FCCT) in Bangkok yesterday.
The FCCT invited Mr Natalegawa to discuss Indonesia's concerns regarding the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) during a transit stop en route to a meeting in Vientiane, Laos.
