The main aim of this study was to analyze the differences in communication and job
attitudes between a group of ethnic minority employees and a group of ethnic majority
employees, employed by one single organization. Within each group, we compared the
means on the four content-related communication domains with each other. These
comparisons showed that the lowest means among ethnic majority employees were for
task-related communication and person-related communication, while among ethnic
minority employees the lowest mean was for person-related communication. Ethnic
minority employees scored significantly lower on person-related communication than on
communication in the other domains. For ethnic majority employees, differences were not
significant.
