The two item Bodily Pain subscale from the Short Form-36 [42] also was used. The items
asked how much bodily pain has been experienced in the past four weeks and how much
pain interfered with their normal work (both outside and inside the home). Responses were
scored on a Likert-type scale ranging from ‘none’ or ‘not at all’ to ‘very severe’ or
‘extremely severe.’ Scale scoring followed the traditional scoring of the SF-36.
