SAMUT SAKHON, 30 Jan 2015 (NNT) – Samut Sakhon province has officially opened seafood festival to boast its potential to become the country’s seafood hub.
The fair features hundreds of seafood dishes created by chefs from more than 30 restaurants as well as best-known fruit from local agriculturists.
According to Samut Sakhon governor Arthit Boonyasophat, who presided over the opening ceremony, the festival is aimed at showcasing the province’s readiness to become a seafood hub and the world’s kitchen.
The governor has also assured fair-goers of the food’ cleanliness, saying that all the raw materials have been carefully selected and the hygiene of participating restaurants has also been certified.
The Samut Sakhon seafood festival will be held from today until February 2 on Taprung Rd. The activity starts from 4 p.m. The festival is expected to generate at least 30 million baht in circulation.
