The design and created of laminate solar cell for sliced pineapple drying. The objective this study were to design and created of laminate solar cell and used solar thermal energy is stored, for drying pineapple during the night. The pineapple used in this experiment is a species of “Pattavia pineapple”, which has a natural pineapple flavor. They are sliced into circular shapes, like the frames of eyeglasses, with an approximate diameter of 10 cm and a thickness of about 1cm. They are dehydrated in 30 kg batches The solar cell has an area of 1.40 m2. The hot water tank capacity of 30 L, covered with black rice husk off with an insulated outside with tank 200 L, by make an angle of 17 part of circle and South-Facing of 2 sets.
The result that, efficient of laminate solar cell had of 9.351 W/m2K and of 66.8%. This study of efficient sliced pineapple dryer during 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. The temperature average of 34.72oC, The overall efficiency of the sliced pineapples dryer averages at 13.83%. Then, drying continuous by used solar thermal energy is stored during night, 7.00 pm to 6.00 am, found that temperature average of 36.63oC and the overall efficiency of the sliced pineapples dryer averages at 26.65%. The dehydration rate is at 0.073kgwater/h. The combination of 2 systems, The overall efficiency of the sliced pineapples dryer averages at 20.24%.
