The CCD was protected from thermal neutrons by wrapping the detector in boroflex sheets
(except the front surface where fiberoptic taper provided the shielding)
and a thin lead sheet was used for shielding the gamma rays.
The detector was exposed to a neutron beam for various durations of time from 30 seconds to 20 minutes.
Light output, contrast and SNR were measured from the resulting
images and are presented in Table 1.
