The minimum team at FHP units is composed of a physician, a nurse, one or two nursing auxiliaries and four to six health agents, who work not only at the units but also within the community, through home visits.6 Thus, FHP units differ radically from Primary Healthcare Units (PHUs), where the team acts only in the unit and is composed of a general physician, a pediatrician and a gynecologist, along with a nursing auxiliary and a practice attendant.
