In the present study, we investigated the effects of melatonin in night-time milk on elderly chronic patients with different degrees of cognitive impairment. This population was chosen because they were considered melatonin-deficient due to their old age and also because they lived in standardized conditions. The parameters examined in the first study were sleep quality and disturbed nocturnal activity. There were no differences in sleep quality related to night milk.
