Having stayed at a number of hotels in the city (2 - 5 star) the Eastin was a bit of a gamble having booked it prior to its open but were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed for 7 nights, having stayed closer to the centre for the previous few nights (yes we love Bangkok), and it proved an oasis of calm in the midst of a crazy city. The BTS is connected to the hotel making travel around the city easy but is closer to the river which is great for travel to Wat Arun, China Town, The Grand Palace, Reclining Buddha etc.
Pool and pool area is wow, rooms are tasetully appointed and Lounge among best I have experienced (perhaps not drink options but certainly for tasty food).
