3. Results and discussion
Table 1 shows the fatty acid composition of rapeseed oil and yields of the products obtained after hydrolysis/hydrogenation and subsequent decarboxylation. Rapeseed oil used in this study is composed of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids with 16, 18 and 20 carbon atoms. Through this study, appropriate reaction conditions for hydrolysislhydrogenation and decarboxylation were evaluated as described in the following subsections.
