Myocardial infarction was induced by Isoproterenol (85 mg/kg, s.c.) for two consecutive days at an interval of 24 h. Rats were pretreated with HEAC (200–400 mg/kg/day, oral) for a period of 30 days and Isoproterenol (ISO) was injected on 31st and 32nd day and after 24 h blood was collected through retro-orbital plexus for the estimation of biochemical parameters and histopathological studies were also performed.
