Today Nok and I went to visit Wichit (our injured inspector) at the hospital and had talked with his wife, brother and sister in law. He has been moved to a common room where he’s with the other patients. Wichit has a femur fracture on the right leg and a cerebral contusion. Though he moved his arms and legs when he heard us calling him, he was still unconscious all the time. Doctors said he’s stable and are waiting for the inflammation inside his head to reduce before proceeding with further treatments.
We also found out that the accident happened at an intersection, when both parties (wichit and the other pickup truck) came from different directions and collided there. For some reason, Wichit’s helmet flew out from his head before he hit the ground, which made the injury more severe. Luckily, more Cape people were coming behind Wichit and assisted him immediately.
SPRC also deserve a special mention as they rented a room near the hospital for his family members to stay and they were following Wichit’s evolution every day. Will keep you informed.
