2. The wait for alcohol treatment appears to be much longer than that for drug
treatment. It is recommended that LDAN works with commissioners and providers to
understand this situation in more detail, and to begin to address any issues that arise.
3. Data collection and monitoring is an important but sometimes onerous task. It
is recommended that LDAN continues to make the case for data collection to all its
members and works with them to ensure that the appropriate tools, training and
support are in place to assist them with this task.
