4.5 Subgroup Analysis
The data were also analyzed by eliminating three participants with outlier scores of BBS at baseline. There were seven persons in the control and eight people in the experimental group in subgroup analysis. The main findings of this subgroup analysis did not differ from the main analysis. There was no statistically significant difference in any outcomes between groups. For the control group, the average BBS and FES scores significantly increased after the exercise. The average change in the BBS score, however, was 3.71 points which was not clinically significant. In the condition 2 of modified CTSIB, the median degree of sway also decreased significantly in this group. For the experimental group, the average BBS score significantly increased at the end of the exercise program. The average change in the BBS score was 5.88 points which was also clinically significant.
