The thirty or more aspects of life are divided into three varieties: 1 modes of judgment of obligation and value, 2 elements of obligation and value, and 3 issues or social institutions about which judgments are made. The principal aspects falling within each of these categories are universal, for they are found in all cultures, according to Kohlberg. Here is one version of the aspects:
Modes of judgment of obligation and value: judgments of (a) right, (b) having a right, (c) duty or obligation, (d) responsibility , (e) praise or blame , (f) punishment or reward, and (g) nonmoral value or goodness. Also (h) justification and explanation.
