This forum is for the first catch-up class. I'm not sure if YOU will agree that these videos show "great" uses of statistics, but they should help you appreciate how important statistics are for almost every aspect of modern life. And I hope you find the videos interesting.

Identify at least a dozen important uses of statistics in society.
Understand at least three reasons why leanring statisitcs is more useful than many other branches of mathematics or science.
Appreciate that statistics can be used to entertain as well as inform people about the uses and mis-uses of data.
