Responding to a claim
If a claim has not yet been granted, you can resolve it immediately by issuing a full refund to the buyer Otherwise, you should respond immediately to represent your side of the claim. If you don't respond to a claim email notification within 7 days of the claim's filing date, Amazon will grant the buyer's claim, and the full amount of the claim will be deducted from your seller account in accordance with your seller agreement.
In some cases, Amazon may initiate a buyer reimbursement upon receipt of the claim. If the claim has not yet been granted, it's still important for you to respond to represent your side of the claim. If the claim has been granted, you can appeal if you disagree with the decision.
Amazon reserves the right to recover reimbursed claim funds from sellers.
