Manawthukha is the most widely grown cultivar in Myanmar
due to its wide adaptation in irrigated and rain-fed lowland areas,
high yield, high milling recovery and acceptable grain quality.
Basmati370 is a fine grain fragrant rice cultivar that is
commercially important in the international market. It was
originally cultivated in the foothills of the Himalayas. Manawthukha and Basmati370 are quite divergent in their agronomic
characteristics, yield performance and the morphological features
of their grains.
