INTRODUCTION
Greenland Eskimos and coastland Japanese have a low incidence of cardiovascular disease. This is
at least partly due to a high consumption of diets rich in n-3 fatty acids. Fish oil concentrates, fluid
or in capsules, and rich in n-3 fatty acids have shown beneficial effects on several risk factors for
cardiovascular disease (l-5). Such administration usually means addition of fat to the diet. A better
way of administration would be to substitute fish oil for other fats in the diet, e.g. in food which is
