Kakarotto looked around with wide eyes, "This is a club?" He asked in astonishment.
"Yep, pretty wild huh? Oh and I asked a few of my friends to come over too, so you might see Bulma, Seventeen and unfortunately Chi-Chi. You remember her?"
"Uhh, yeah." How could Goku forget?! She was the one who hit Yamcha!
"Well, lets get inside. We can't stand out the door the whole time..." Yamcha said and grabbed Goku's hand again, walking him inside.
Goku blushed, melting into Yamcha's warm touch. He started liking Yamcha being around him, it made a fluttering feeling in his stomach.
He let Yamcha pull him into the club, his body feeling sluggish and his mind feeling dazed. The club was even better Inside!
A man walked up to Yamcha, "Hey, you can't be in here..." he said angrily.
"Hn?" Yamcha smirked, "Who are you to tell me what to do? I'll have you know that Bulma Briefs, owner of Capsule Corporation, is one of my closest friends. If she ever knew that you kicked me out, she'd make sure you lost your job and all your money..."
"Oh! Your Yamcha Kyo, I'm so sorry..." the man said in embarrassment. Then he looked down at Kakarotto, "Is he with you?" he asked Yamcha.
"Yeah, he's with me."
The man left immediately, not waning to risk losing everything.
"Yamcha!" Bulma shouted loudly over the pounding music and ran over quickly, "This place is a lot more busy huh?!"
"Yeah!" Yamcha said as she made it to them, "Where's Seventeen and Chi-Chi?!"
"I don't know where Seventeen is, but Chi-Chi is at the counter having some drinks!" She replied in a happy voice, "Wanna dance?!"
"Sure! Hey Goku, you wanna dance?!" He turned to the young Saiyajin and saw his small hands over his ears.
"Why is it so loud?!" He asked with a growing headache.
"It's a club! Dumb-dumb!" Bulma laughed, "Oh your names Goku?! Nice! Well if you don't want to dance Goku, that's fine. You can just hang out with Chi-Chi, she doesn't like dancing either. She's just over there!" She pointed at the counter with a few people sitting at the high chairs.
Goku stood there for a moment, deciding whether or not to leave Yamcha. He stood back and finally took off, with a unsure look on his face. He didn't really like Chi-Chi, especially after she slapped Yamcha, and everyone was all right with that?! Kakarotto took a seat beside the black-haired woman and looked down, not sure how to start a conversation.
Chi-Chi noticed him and smiled, "Oh hey you. You look much better, so your finally recovered!" She said cheerfully, "Remember me?"
"Yes..." Kakarotto said shyly and looked down.
"I'm sorry but I didn't quite ask for your name, have I?"
"It's Goku..." He said quietly, but it was enough for her to hear.
"Your so cute! Anyone ever tell you that?!" She squealed and started playing with his spikey, blonde hair.
He blushed, "um no."
"Can I get you a drink?!" She asked, her smile never leaving her face.
Goku was surprised, Chi-Chi was rude to Yamcha, but nice to him? He took a while to answer, he slowly nodded with a nervous smile, "Water."
"Don't you want alcohol? Or are you under-age?" He questioned.
"Yamcha said that 18 was the age I am allowed to drink, I am 18. But I've never drunken alcohol before." He responded.
"Oh you should try it then! Hey! HEY!" Chi-Chi's screechy voice got to the man who served drinks. He walked over with an annoyed look on his face.
"Ma'am please stop screaming, it is very irritating." He said.
"Shut-up and give us two beers." Chi-Chi waved him off.
The bartender nodded and walked off.
Kakarotto nervously looked down, mumbling; "But I don't want a drink, I'm fine, really." But it was too quiet for Chi-Chi to hear him.
The unguarded hand that the young Saiyajin left on the table was touched. He looked at it, another hand was rested on it, immediately he knew it was Chi-Chi. He looked up at her shyly and didn't speak. She only smiled, "Have you got a girlfriend, sweet-heart?" she questioned curiously.
'Girlfriend? What's that?' He thought, trying to add the two words together, making the meaning: A friend that was female.
He nodded, guessing that he was friends with Chi-Chi now, and he was friends with Bulma too.
"Really?" she looked rather surprised, making Goku a little confused, "Who is she?"
"You and Bulma, right..?" he slightly tilted his head.
"Oh Goku!" She started laughing and playfully pushed his chest, "No! I mean an actual girlfriend, you know? A woman that you love more than anyone else, and not just mentally." She winked.
Kakarotto was even more confused. To be completely honest, he didn't think he loved anyone else more than his family; this was the first day he was communicating with people other than Toma, Badakku and Radditsu. He didn't think he loved ANY woman either, and he wasn't exactly understand the 'not just mentally' part either. Wasn't love only a mental thing?
He didn't answer that time, because he was unsure of how to reply to what she said. His mind started to blank, but he came back to reality when the bartender placed the two beers in front of them.
Kakarotto stared at the two bottles of beer, "They are... Both for you... Right?"
"What? No silly, one for you, one for me! Don't worry, it's not strong alcohol, you'll be fine..." Chi-Chi smiled.
Goku smiled back nervously. He knew what alcohol was, they had it at planet Vegeta. He has seen Radditsu and Badakku drinking it before, he was never allowed to drink it until now.
He picked up the bottle, (lid already opened) and tested it by smelling it. Chi-Chi stared at him strangely, and the Saiyajin stopped sniffing it, knowing that he must've looked weird by doing that. When Chi-Chi looked away, Goku looked at her and watched her drink her beer.
He looked back at his, finally taking a sip. And it tasted foul, he almost wanted to spit it out. Chi-Chi looked at him and laughed at his reaction, noticing his sour face.
"You are so funny, Goku! Just keep drinking, it will taste better." She smiled and this time left her hand on Kakarotto's lap, making him even more nervous to the point where he was sweating.
He took another sip, wincing at the taste of alcohol on his tongue, but resumed to drink. Deep down inside, he knew this wasn't good, and he did not want to do this. But he wanted to fit in and act normal as to all the human's around him. He wanted to blend in and not be recognized as different, or else he wouldn't have any friends and he would have to live the rest of his 300 years alone on Earth.
Saiyajins lived much longer lives than humans, and 300 years wasn't even the maximum time either. The Saiyajin's would only die from a battle if they were young, a slight chance from sickness too, but it's unheard of because Saiyajin's didn't usually get sick, their immune system was strong.
Chi-Chi's smile just grew wider and wider, she started to grin too, like something she was hiding at the back of her head, Goku wondered what that might've been. Because of his naivety and innocence, he couldn't really pick up on the consequences of what might happen if he continued to drink alcohol.
Luckily he was saved by the ningen with the scars on his face, "Goku! Seventeen and his mates are calling you!" Yamcha shouted with Bulma dancing around him and laughing.
Kakarotto looked away from Chi-Chi and spotted Yamcha, processing all the words he said to him. Who was Seventeen? Wasn't that a number?
He stood up, Chi-Chi's smile had finally disappeared, "Seveteen is a jerk, and you don't have to go to him, hang out with me. I'm way more fun."
The Saiyajin teen had to mentally disagree. "Uh no thank you. Maybe another time..." he gave her a fake smile and left as soon as possible, before anymore trouble brewed.
He sped up to Yamcha and shouted over the music, "What's Seventeen?!
