2.7. Determination of intrinsic antibiotic sensitivity profile
Antibiotic sensitivity profiles of all the five biocontrol organisms
were determined in their respective growth medium using HiMedia
octo discs (Sunder et al., 2011) and all the organisms were
found tolerant to several antibiotics tested.
2.8. Re-isolation of biocontrol organisms from the applied postharvest
fruit surfaces
To check the physical presence of biocontrol organisms on the
fruit surfaces they were re-isolated in their respective growth
medium from fruit surface washings containing at least two antibiotics
in which they are resistant, after 15 days of incubation.
