Ignition system
As we said before, spark is required to ignite the fuel-air mixture. The electricity needed for a spark is developed by the magneto. The magneto generates electricity and sends it via wires to each sparkplug,
The sparkplug has two electrodes, and is so constructed that a small space, or gap, is left between them. The electricity will jump from one electrode to the other providing spark to ignite the fuel-air mixture.
