A local research institute is working to develop a 500 rai dinosaur theme park and museum, the first of its kind in the region.
The Northeastern Research Institute of Petrified Wood and Mineral Resources is conducting preliminary studies into the dinosaur park project and will submit a formal funding request to the cabinet soon.
Suwat Liptapanlop, who oversees the institute, said the location of the facility has not been decided. The facility would comprise a theme park, a fossil museum and a study centre.
