3.2. Growth performance and feed utilisation
The final bodyweight (BW) and totalweight gain (WG)were lowest
for the cassava leafmeal diet (Pb0.05),whilst therewere no differences
in BWandWG between the other diets (Table 4). Moreover, the values
for final BW,WG and dailyweight gainwere numerically highest for the
shrimp head meal diet. The specific growth rate (SGR) ranged from 0.8
to 1.1%,with the numerically lowest values for the cassava leafmeal diet
and the numerically highest values for the shrimp head meal diet
(Table 4). Therewere no differences (P>0.05) in survival rate, FCR, PER
and FI between the reference diet and the test diets, but protein intake
differed between diets.
