Arguably the most noteworthy theoretical aspect of the current findings is the identification of an important boundary condition of (offline) embodied cognition. Elsewhere researchers have lamented the continued demonstration of embodied effects with little or no consideration given to the precise circumstances under which these phenomena arise (Landau et al., 2010 and Meier et al., 2012; but see Foroni and Semin, 2009 and Landau et al., 2011).
