However, the number of ABC genes in Piloderma (48) exceeds the numbers found in the analysed species of those two orders. It also has a considerable number (15) of gene fragments and putative pseudogenes. The set of ABC transporters found in the genome of P. croceum is characterised in particular by the high diversity of ABC-G transporters, with some of the genes without counterparts in other analysed species of Agaricomycotina (Additional file 5).
