Sign Illumination
1. When signs are internally/externally illuminated, the illumination is to be
evenly distributed to prevent dark or “hot” spots on the face of the sign.
2. When signs are internally illuminated, the gray portion must be opaque.
Opaque vinyl does not allow light to shine through and will look black
when illuminated at night.
3. Property Identifications Signs must be illuminated. Internal illumination
is preferred. Sufficient lighting must be provided to ensure visibility
during both day and night.
4. If the property name portion of any sign is illuminated, the
BEST WESTERN logo or the words BEST WESTERN must be
similarly illuminated.
