We are writing to notify you that there have been changes to student insurance plan for the upcoming school year. The 2016-17 plan features a new policy year deductible. As a result, we have raised the 16-17 medical deposit from the $300 listed on the signed Tuition Enrollment Agreement to $600 for anyone enrolled in the student insurance plan. If you have any questions, the attached letter from IMG Academy’s insurance provider Clifford Allen Associates further explains the changes and the reasoning behind them. Also, please note that a brochure detailing other specifics of the policy is available to you at https://www.imgacademy.com/myascenders/resources/campus-resources for your reference.
*If your child is not enrolled in the student insurance plan, please disregard this email.
Please reach out to Erika Rivera in the Health Services Department at (941) 752-2628 if you have additional questions or would like to sign up for the 2016-17 student insurance plan.
Best,
IMG Academy
In an effort to control costs and protect key benefits, IMG Academy has added a policy year deductible to the student insurance plan starting 8/15/16. As you may know, the student insurance policy utilizes the United Healthcare Options Network given the large majority of local providers participate in that network. The in network deductible is $500 and the out of network deductible is $1,000. When utilizing providers that participate in the network, the insured must first pay $500 (the deductible) before any claims will be considered/paid. When using out of network providers, the insured must first pay $1,000 (the deductible) before any claims will be considered/paid. Importantly, all other benefits in the plan remain unchanged. This policy, designed specifically for IMG Academy, continues to provide important, comprehensive protection for your child while they are attending IMG. Please refer to the student insurance brochure for a more detailed summary of benefits/exclusions.
