Granulation
The dimensions of quenching tank were 2400 mm · 440 mm · 320 mm. Tap water was used for cooling. Quenched polymer cables were cut with granulator.
DTA and DSC analyses, ACOOH end group analyses, DEG analyses, melting point, viscosity (IV) and b value measurements were performed as mea- surable characteristics to find degradation amounts of the recycled granules. Viscosity measurement has been carried out using phenol/1,2-dichlorobenzene. The measurement of DEG has been done according to Zimmer PV 09008.6 standard. COOH end group analysis has been done according to Lurgi analytic procedure. The melting point determination has been done according to Zimmer PV 07095.5 standard. 10 replicas were used for each type of measurement.
The results were investigated by employing single factor ANOVA procedure with 5% signifi- cant level.
