Assays were carried out using a column reactor.
Glass column were filled with 20 g of the fermentation medium inoculated with a spore suspension equivalent to 107 spores/gm (gm-gram of medium).
Columns were immersed in a thermostatic bath at 32 0C and aerated with dried air at a 1 vvm (volume of air per volume of medium per minute) for 72 h.
