The mere fact that assignment clauses provide for exceptions, as dis-cussed above, does not necessarily imply that assignment is unconditional. However, the analysis of assignment clauses has revealed that clauses pro-viding for exceptions to assignment prohibitions or restrictions tend to focus primarily on the definition of these exceptions and not so much on any requirements to be met in case of such an assignment.
