Overall Procedure This study began as a laboratory exercise to explore the overall effects of oven drying temperatures and times in determining the moisture content of unground, longgrain rough rice. As such, a preliminary study was
conducted in which the moisture content of samples varying in moisture content from approximately 10 to 19% w.b. was determined using an air convection oven held at l30DC in one set of tests and at 200DC in a subsequent test. Drying times for the l30DC setting were 1,6 and 20 h; for the 200DC setting. only a 1 h time was used.
