5.4 DUTY MANAGER ON DUTY RESPONSE

5.4.17 Refer all press and media queries to the following:
- General Manager
- Communication Manager
5.4.18 In event of a FALSE ALARM, inform the Telephone Operator immediately instruct Security officer to reset the alarm in Fire Control Room and clear message.
5.4.19 Record the incident in the Duty Manager Log Book.
5.5 DUTY SECURITY SUPERVISOR RESPONSE (Emergency Team)
5.5.1 Upon receipt of paging, proceed to the fire control room and ascertain exact location of the fire.
5.5.2 In the absence of the Duty Manager on duty, assume the responsibility of the Emergency Team Leader.
5.5.3 Keep the Security Manager informed.
5.5.4 Inform Security Control of the following:
- Exact location of the fire.
- Exact location of command post
- Dimension and magnitude of fire.
- Type of materials burning.
- How many casualties.
5.5.5 After the fire scene has been taken over by the Fire and Rescue Services Department personnel, he will remain behind to assist.
If fire and evacuation happens between 1600 to 0800 hours:
5.5.6 Receive the master keys in the fire control room from Security Control.
5.5.7 In the fire control room, assign each Search Team B member for floors evacuation search.
5.5.8 Distribute the keys, torch lights and masks to the Search Team B members.
5.5.9 Advise them to be on standby at the Level 1 Service Lift staff.
5.5.10 Search Team Leader will use the …… to deploy the Search Team B members to their assigned floors…………..
5.5.11 Any Search Team B member not assigned will remain on standby with the Search Team Leader. Search Team B members will report completion of search to the Duty Security Officer who will in turn brief the Emergency Team Leader.
5.5.12 Ensure the keys, torch lights and masks are returned.
