Microbiological attributes of Iminem were performed by the protocol for microbiological examination of sterile product. Regarding to the results, it was found that this product conformed to microbiological limit.
Container-closure integrity test was performed by using microbial immersion test as briefly protocol as follows:
1. A suitable number (at least 20 vials) are prepared in the aseptic unit to contain a sterile broth in place of the product. These broths are pre-incubated to ensure that the aseptic fill has been carried out correctly and the contents are sterile.
2. Place the vials in the container and cover with a broth ensuring that the vials remain submerged.
3. Inoculate the vials immersed in broth with challenge micro-organism and incubate with suitable exposure time and temperature.
4. Remove the vials from broth culture and examine each vial for visible growth. If growth is observed, the closure system is failed.
Regarding to the integrity results, no microbial growth in the vials is found. Therefore, the container-closure integrity test of this product conformed to specification.
