spin-coated film with two layers at 10%wt. Eu-based PMMA show the best photoconversion result. EQE measurements show that synthetized films with Eu active complex concentration over 10% suffer concentration quenching processes. Increasing the viscosity and thickness of the luminescent coatings does not change significantly the obtained results. Additional increases in EQE are expected
after a proper encapsulation in EVA avoiding the air film between the glass and the solar cell produced in the experimental set up. Moreover, large stability of the encapsulation is expected since the down-converter prevents UV degradation. Thermogravimetric measurements show that the down-converter active specie is stable for temperatures below 275 °C and, consequently, can be applied in any step of the lamination process for producing PV modules.
