The expression levels of nox and sod genes under aerobic condition were 7.2- and 8.0-fold higher,respectively,than under anaerbic conditions. The expression levels of crtM and crtN genes under aerobic condition were also concomitantly higher than under anaerobic condition (5.3- and 5.9-fold higher, respectively) Both carotenoid biosynthesis genes and well-known stress response genes (sod and nox) were similarly up-resulated under aerobic conditions.
