If learners can learn an entirely new set of sound perfectly, they really learn to speak
like a native speaker. Even if they seem so unnatural and come so awkwardly on the tongue,
if learners persevere, they can learn to speak English with a very good accent, and if they
concentrate enough, they can make pronunciation perfect (Christophersen, 1956).
Moreover, language has different accents pronounced differently by people from different
geographical places, from different social classes, different educational backgrounds. The
word accent is often confused with dialect. (Roach, 2000)
